Le Chêne Gris is situated in the valley of the Grand Morin in the midst of the green hilly landscape of the Brie region. Charming historic towns as Meaux en Provins (appointed by the UNESCO as world heritage) are within easy reach.

Le Chêne Gris is a guarantee for a lot of holiday pleasure. Not only is there a new swimming pool (including a shallow lagoon pool for the little ones) and a playground, but the campsite is also equipped with a snack bar and a restaurant where you can get a drink or a bite to eat. You can do your daily shopping at the campsite supermarket.
A one day trip to Paris is an easy possibility when you are staying at le Chêne Gris. A train leaving at the train station, situated in front of the entrance of the campsite, brings you to the Gare de l’Est in the centre of the French capital in less then thirty minutes. The Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Champs Elysées and Montmartre are within reach and all of that without parking problems! Make inquiries at the reception of the campsite about the times of arrival and departure.
The region around Paris has an abundance of castles, which one by one point out to the rich history of this area. By example, you can find the famous castle of Fontainebleau and the 17th century Château of Vaux-le-Vicomte at a small distance away from the campsite.
Of course, le Chêne Gris is also an excellent operating base from which you can go visit Disneyland ® Resort Paris. Just fifteen minutes drive from Disneyland® Resort Paris. An ideal destination for a long weekend or extra week of holidays!

Campsite Le Grand Dague
Le Grand Dague is a perfectly located campsite with a pleasant setting. It is based in a quiet and natural area yet still close to Périgueux , the capital of the Dordogne region with historical Gallo-Roman origins.
The many green areas on the site plus the beautiful forest contribute to the natural character of Le Grand Dague. This is a comfortable campsite and families will find everything they they need for a fun-filled holiday. The car park is centrally located, but never far from your accommodation, making the campsite very child friendly and safe.
Covering around 7 hectares, there is space for 199 pitches. You can rent a two or three bedroomed luxury mobile home with its own toilet and hot shower, or a fully equipped six berth bungalow tent with a kitchen, fridge and 'real' beds. All accommodation has a set of garden furniture with parasol. Alternatively, you could opt for a pitch and take your own tent or caravan.
This family campsite features a good swimming pool with a separate children’s pool, a friendly terrace and restaurant. The children will have fun in the play area, on the trampoline and whilst playing table tennis. You can also play mini golf and jeu de boules. A new laguna swimming pool is planned for June 2009.
The historic city of Périgueux is only a few kilometres away and further afield is the lovely city of Bergerac set beside the Dordogne river. Do not miss the famous statue of Cyrano. There are also canoe tours available in many nearby areas.
